We believe your child is precious to God, just as they're precious to you! We'd love to help you celebrate that with a christening in church. A christening (or baptism - they mean the same thing) is a special ceremony where water is poured on the head three times, as a symbol of new life and new beginnings, as well as welcoming a child into God's family.
If you would like to arrange a Christening at Old Clee, please come to church on a Wednesday evening between 6 - 7pm, and someone will be able to help you.
If you've just got engaged - congratulations! We'd love to help you arrange a wedding at Old Clee Church!
You can be married in church if you or your parents live in the parish, or you have a family connection with the church (e.g. you were christened here, or your parents/grandparents were married here). Come and talk to us to find out more. The church is open on Wednesday evenings between 6 - 7pm for enquiries and bookings.
The Church is here to help you through the difficult times when a loved one has died. A Church of England funeral is available to everyone, and we offer support before, during and after the service.
If you are arranging a funeral and would like it to take place in church, tell your funeral director and they’ll get in touch with us.
If you would like a minister to take a funeral service in the crematorium, let your funeral director know that this is what you would like. They will approach the vicar of the parish (area) you live in in the first instance
